CAREERS

Thank you for your interest in becoming part of the Wild Survivors team.

We are incredibly proud of the work we do to pave the way for human-elephant co-existence in Tanzania. Since 2016, we have worked directly with rural communities to prevent clashes with elephants, while uplifting farming livelihoods and inspiring people to protect wildlife and habitat.

Why work with us?

At Wild Survivors Tanzania, you’ll be part of a supportive team working closely with communities across key wildlife landscapes. Our work is grounded and holistic; combining coexistence, habitat connectivity, and locally led livelihoods, alongside research on elephants, ecosystems, and socio-economic systems. We value initiative, collaboration, and learning from the field, offering the opportunity to take real responsibility and grow, while contributing to a future where wildlife, people, and habitats thrive together.

Programmes Manager

Wild Survivors Tanzania is seeking a proactive and grounded Programmes Manager to join our team.

This role sits at the centre of our work: coordinating programme delivery, supporting field teams, and helping ensure our approach to human–elephant coexistence continues to strengthen and evolve.

You will work across Ngorongoro, Serengeti, and Rukwa–Katavi, helping drive and coordinate programmes that bring together coexistence, locally led livelihoods, and the stewardship of elephant corridors across shared landscapes in partnership with communities.

This is not purely a coordination role. We are looking for someone who takes ownership, thinks ahead, and brings initiative and problem-solving leadership into their work.

Location: Arusha, Tanzania (with regular field travel)
